Beginning my fast with pride in the heart, I was already not in the correct heart posture to serve God. Thinking I could go without, when really the Father was calling for humility in the mind. He wanted humble refined consumption not proud boastful neglect. The body itself brought me down two pegs, heart rate through the roof, anxiety on my back. I couldn’t understand why I was so stressed. Lack of nourishment, lack of discernment, have you ever heard God’s voice and still went the other way? 

Hearing Him speak, it was clear with softness and one time. Never repeating Himself He had already told me what to do. The enemy was used to bring me even closer to the Father. Scared me to think I was using a human to get closer to God than simply just reading His word more for myself. Yet, measures needed to be taken to cement the true idea of needing to identify with Jesus myself. For how can I share the correct gospel when the teachings are lacking? How can I truly share the depth of His goodness when milk and honey is only being ingested? 

In need of meat and potatoes the Father is giving whole meals to satisfy spiritual hunger. Living water, never running dry, if you read these words please know God is both personal and communal. Yet, if the personal connection is lacking then the community involvement will be so hitched on human creation that you will be further dragged from the Creator. To worship the creation is to ignore the Creator. To stop at the mortal man is to blind yourself to the visual majesty of the Father, for His goodness is both seen on earth and felt in the soul. 

Don’t take my word for it but look at His Word, the Bible for truth. If the Bible does not back up the teachings of the human, then the tongue of man is wrong. Divine ordination in His teachings, please believe that all those that speak of the Father are not there to please Him. Yet, some see the majesty of God and want to use it for glorification of flesh. I’m nervous for the state of your soul, genuine in this typing moment…Do Not stop at man for understanding yet go to God for confirmation and comprehension that He leads you in the correct direction and into the correct people for your life. 

Not a popular topic but I must say the spirit is fragile when left alone unattended. We humans are like sponges that like to soak up anything worldly and dry out everything divine. Wanting the Lord is innate in our being yet it needs divine construct to be nurtured properly. Rather our spirit has to learn how to love God and unlearn the patterns of the flesh. Not a sexy issue really neither is hell yet we all seem to be hopping on that sinking ship. Don’t be deceived by the voices on this secular plain, not all are granted wisdom from God. Some walk around with earthly wisdom that is foolishness in full grown form. 

*Accepting God into your heart* Romans 10:9-10. If you’d like to accept God and the gift of salvation, with all your heart and soul believe Jesus died on the cross, rising on the third day completing the gift of salvation conquering death. Believing that He is the Son of God, surrender with open arms, repent and apologize for the sinful ways turning from the flesh, confessing that God is the redeemer of your spirit. You will be saved. Now begin your walk with God as He loves you and will absolutely NEVER leave your side. 

Salvation has made it to where we can have constant contact with God the Source of all Life. Granting you His Holy Spirit that is a personal helper through life, He will and can and is changing everything in your life. He is so excited to do good work in you that not only frees your spirit but also grants love and purpose that fills worldly voids, impacting every realm of life. Seek Him first in everything.

Remember, God doesn’t give love that needs to be earned rather His love is free of charge powered by the eternal love He wants to share and the belief in our hearts. He loves you enabling you to love Him back. Do not stress about never sinning but strive to sin less through knowing God for yourself through prayer and reading of His Word. Progression over perfection.
