in His care

Lived spelled backwards is devil. Another detail I noticed when doing a word search puzzle at work. The word “detail” has been in my head very deeply. I’ve been noticing the details that are taking place in order for certain things to happen, in order for certain people to cross paths. It’s so special to see God operate in the small things that can often go unnoticed or be chalked up to a coincidence.

I believe God is intentional about every single being on this earth, even those He does not deem as His children. God is an active participant with His creation. Nothing is going unnoticed or flying under the radar with Him. With that being said it can be difficult to see certain things happen in this world. Why would God allow torture, children dying, and whole communities being wiped off the earth?

Why are evils allowed on this earth? The simple answer is we live in a fallen world. The evil desires of people run rampant. In order for God to step in would be negating the free will people were given. It’s sicken to see what we as people have done with the gift of free will. Each gift God gives has a level of responsibility to it, they affect the communities we live in. Not everyone is going to use the gift God has given with care, some will use it to exploit others.

There are details that need to happen no matter how excruciating for God’s plan to operate correctly. I often find myself not fully understanding what is going on. Yet when I read the bible and see God’s faithfulness to His people through generations. The horrors we see today have always been there. Though I pray for healing, I know deep down the craziness in the world is exactly what God describes in His word.

2 Timothy chapter three verse one through five states that people will be lovers of themselves, lover of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lover of pleasure rather than lover of God– having a form of godliness but denying the power. This verse speaks of the hearts of man.

Knowing that everything is happening the way He described gives me great peace of mind because it further shows He is in control. I’m learning it’s less about everyone having peace and harmony and more about everyone bowing before God. Peace and harmony is unobtainable without God. Meaning if there are some who will never believe in God then peace and harmony are often going to be fleeting.

It’s hard to have true goodness to the core without God. 2 Peter chapter one verse three states God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. In order for everyone to live for God and have His character they first must have chosen God. Sadly, we live in a world where people are ignoring God, talking about Him as though He is a joke. Yet Jesus died for those people, extending the ultimate gift of salvation. Giving the gift of saving souls, some will decline, others will accept.

Truth is we all ratchet out here and without God the odds are not in our favor. So strap up, get in touch with God, and know those who trust in Him will be forever in His care.
