Did you know that Christ Jesus died willing on the cross for every single soul? Would you die for people that didn’t like you and would spit on your name? The answer is no, so thank God you aren’t Jesus because that’s exactly what He did…moreover He’d do it again if God commanded it so. I breathe, believe, have faith because I know Jesus loves me more than His own life. More than the comfort He had in heaven. Leaving His throne to live life as a lowly human. He is the first person to house both human and divine spirit. Living as both man and God, He is the only lamb that could be a permanent sacrifice for us.
God’s love rains down like manna over this earth though we humans look for any way to gain earthly treasures. I’m not alone in this lie for I also sin more than I can keep up with, remorse in my heart heavier than led. Thank God He forgives, forgets and continues to love me just as hard as He always has. The good news of Christ goes as follows: at the appointed time Jesus was born a human to earthly parents, housing also the power of God. He lived life, healed and performed miracles showing and sharing the love of God. Being tempted, fully understanding, witnessing and breathing the struggles we face every single day as humans. He never sinned, keeping every command to God His Father, Jesus is the perfect example of being human and relying on the Holy Spirit to guide life.
That fateful day, He was tortured, hung on the cross, continuously beaten in front of his family, friends, and those that believed and hated Him. He died, cracking the earth in two. He is the only sacrifice we will ever need. Blood deep as red could be, washing the stain of sin from any who believes in Him. Rising on the third day, sealing salvation for anyone who wants to believe in His name through faith alone, you are clean. The Holy Spirit burrowed into the hearts of each person calling and believing Jesus is their Lord and Savior. Walking with God doesn’t mean you’ll never sin, yet it means that you will become better through every single day by being in Christ and He in you. God is not looking for perfection, He is not looking for spotless people to house His Kingdom.
Rather He wants people devoted to Him, lovers of His heart, though missing the mark is a character defect we all carry. Love for God created remorse and remorse creates a willingness to do better the next time.
For more information on the gospel message the good news of Jesus read: Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9 and John 3:16-17. Allowing these to be a starting point, the gospel is throughout the entire Bible itself.
